“You are the Light of the World.  A city on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.”  Matthew 5: 4-15

We are Pastors Melvin and Evangelist Felicia Wallace of the Light of the World Church of God, striving each day to be a “Beacon of Light” and bridging the gap of despair and hopelessness through biblical teachings, fellowship, compassion, and genuine concern. We are non-denominational, believers and followers of Christ!  Ordained and affiliated with the Church of God Ministries (Anderson, IN).  

For the past 27 years God has enabled us to build grassroots "sanctuaries of hope", in Illinois and Maryland.  That meant "digging wells" to meet people where they are.  Our places of worship consisted of three storefronts, two community rooms, the rental of two hotels, two parks, and one school.  Which meant, building a sanctuary and breaking it down on a weekly basis.  Yet, we did so willingly to share the “Greatest Gift” given to mankind; Salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  In our efforts to instill the hope found in Jesus for families and individuals experiencing hardships, battling addictions, enduring financial setbacks, and separated from family or friends; often not of their own making.  After years of building wells, God has now given us a "permanent dwelling" at 520 S. Third Street, in Goshen, Indiana.  To God Be All Glory, Honor, and Praise!
